Department Head Training In a partnership with the Provost’s office, ADVANCE provides quarterly training events with local and invited speakers for department heads. These workshops heighten awareness and increase effectiveness of these mid-level academic administrators. Department heads play a critical role in bringing about institutional change within academia through their influence on department climate.
